BVIP firmware version 4.00.0043 is a major update release for the Bosch Video IP platform products. It introduces structural changes in recording mechanisms such as VRM-like block recording, providing increased flexibility, scalability and storage space utilization in overall system design. It is fully compliant with ONVIF 1.0 standard and provides encoding in either H.264, classic MPEG-4 or M-JPEG. There is DynDNS support, audio alarm and dual recording among the newly introduced features. Besides firmware 4.0 allows to locally record (on embeded HDD or via USB port) streams from other encoders and IP cameras in the system. Also Automatic Network Replenishment (ANR) support for VRM based recording is introduced.

New firmware converts existing IVA 3.0 and 3.5 onto IVA 4.0. This new IVA algorithm is equipped with new features, improved calibration and stability.
