Bosch and Wagner joining hands in the GCC
During a series of seminars Bosch & Wagner (both being German organizations) tied forces to contribute to the advancement of Fire Safety Industry by sharing individual expertise.
Bosch Secutiy Systems Dubai conducted a series of Fire Safety seminars in conjunction with Wagner. Bosch & Wagner (both being German organizations) have a common goal of contributing to the advancement of Fire Safety Industry by sharing individual expertise. Bosch uses the aspiration technology of Wagner whereas Wagner uses the detection technology of Bosch. Both the companies share the common interest of providing Safety where Bosch focuses on Fire Detection whereas Wagner focuses on Fire Protection using Oxy-Reduct Systems. Having synergy in local operation with a common distributor (GECO in UAE & BASMA in Bahrain), allowed Bosch/Wagner to conduct joint seminars at 8 locations. The target audience were Local Civil Defence Authorities & Consultants in UAE/Bahrain.
Bosch presented Modular Fire Panel, Art of Invisible Fire Detection & Voice EVAC Systems. The award-winning Design & Technology of Bosch 500 series detector perfectly blends with the architectural design. The Flush-mounted, detector detects smoke outside the housing – with a virtual optical chamber. Its flat design makes it almost Invisible that brings Innovative & Relaiable Technology together in one elegent design. The replaceable colour rings allow 500 series Fire Detector to match the colour with that of the false ceiling. Thus providing a complete architectural freedom without compromising Life Safety. This fire detector is ideally suited for harsh environments including production sites and is completely unaffected by dust, fibers and foreign objects/material.
The Fire System Specifier Software was also released on this occasion. This tool is designed for architects, consultants and specifiers who need to specify fire alarm systems. It enables one to quickly create a neutral tender specification based on BOSCH fire system technology.

Wagner presented their Aspiration Detection & OxyReduct Fire Protection Technology. This new concept of providing Oxygen Reduction atmosphere results in preventing Fire from breaking out.
Deputy Head of VdS Laboratories also joined the seminar to make an introduction of VdS Standards for Fire System Certification & guidelines. This initiative resulted in getting acceptance of VdS certified system in the UL dominant market. Bosch Fire became the first ever VdS certified system to obtain approval from Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority.
Bosch Fire partner ‘GECO Fire Protection Services’ has capabilities of providing a complete turnkey solution for Fire Detection & Protection Systems in UAE. Whereas partner ‘BASMA’ has similar capabilities of providing the Fire Safety Solutions in Bahrain. All participants appreciated such a joint initiative.
